First visit here as a couple. Everything exactly as l (Ryan) remember. Weather worse than it was, but can’t blame cottage for that. Great location was able to take partner & bump to Falkirk Wheel & Edinburgh. Word of warning though, don’t park in city centre. Great cottage = great holiday. Ryan, Jade & baby bump, Worksop. 11-18/11/12

Our 3rd visit to Nith, our 5th including Mote Cottage. Cottage wonderful as ever. I have enjoyed relaxing here. Weather mixed but who cares. Royal Hotel in Cumnock food was very good, they serve food till 9pm. Hope to return next year. Barbara & Peter, Sheffield. 11-18/11/12

Lost for words, a fabulous cottage. A real home from home, wish we could stay longer, and the sun shone as well. Thank you. Jenny, Andrew, Dan & Chris. East Yorkshire. 05-12/08/12

We had a very relaxing week in this lovely cottage. We had 5 days of quite poor weather but the log fire and fabulous bath made up for it. Had plenty of birds in the garden when the rain held off. We had a wonderful visit to Loch Doon (breathtaking) and up the coast towards Largs and Port Glasgow- look out for the quirky art installations down the edge of the Clyde there. Our dog loved the lane and being safely able to sniff around the garden. Thank you. Jon & Rachel Wilcox, Liz Howard and Prada the greyhound. November 2012

Yet again another wonderful week. Thank you Jean & Peter for making every visit so welcoming. We look on you as friends; we have been here so often but always feel so welcome and comfortable. We will be back again next year. Our visits must total 18 and perfect every time. The Doon valley is one of my favourite places and also Kay Park has a wonderful visitor centre where you can find all the old records for New Cumnock which were very interesting. See you both next year. Dawn & Les Olsen, Liverpool. 3-11/11/12

A lovely comfortable, cottage with everything in it that you need. Lovely frosty mornings, sunrises spectacular, would definitely return if ever in the area again. Thanks for making it home from home. Loved feeding the birds, cost a small fortune in seed, but worth it – filled up feeders daily. Paul & Elaine, Leicester. 6-13/10/12

Weather has been mixed however we had a lovely week touring around. Cottage is very comfortable, clean and cosy to come back to at night. Potatoes very nice, thank you. Betty & Peter. East Lothian. 29/09/12

Another lovely week to Loch Doon and ice ream parlour. Weather OK. Dog enjoyed running round cottage all day. We saw a fox on the driveway. Thanks Jean & Peter for letting us come to Mote Cottage. Cathy & Raymond. Port Glasgow. 22-29/09/12

We have had another great holiday. It didi rain but didn’t keep us in. Deer Park and Raiders trail well worth a visit. Mote Cottage is so cosy. Just like home from home. Thank you once again. See you soon. Sandra, Roy and Jerry (the dog). Darwen Lancashire. 15-22-09-12

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this most comfortable and cosy cottage. Spoilt for choice in this area for things to do, so much so, that we would need a month to do what we would have liked. Our highlight was the Rabbie Burns Trail. Our thanks to Jean & Peter for our exceptional holiday. Robert & Sue Pirrie, Derbyshire. 1-15/09/12
